Even though I shot this elopement years ago, it's still one of the galleries my clients and potential clients reference the most when they're looking for moody but authentic wedding and engagement photos. S + K have been friends of mine for years, so when they told me that they were planning a small wedding at the home of a family friend, I was so excited that they chose to trust me with such an important day! While they still had the big wedding day planned for about a year later, they wanted to make sure they tied the knot soon enough that they could celebrate with their whole family since K's father had been battling with health issues for some time.
The weather forecast had originally said we'd have clear skies, but we were able to put a plan together last minute to make sure we could still capture all the beauty the day would still have! To me, the couple portraits felt like they came straight out of an east coast rom com.
Another aspect of the day that I absolutely loved was — since the day was pretty low-key and they didn't have to book too many vendors — they opted to hire a private chef to bring their cozy family elopement to an elegant new level! I can confidently say that this was one of the best wedding meals I've ever had. I had such a wonderful time capturing this beautiful day and capturing memories for some wonderful friends.
